This regional Greenprint for Growth will identify high priority areas for conservation that meet regional ecosystem protection goals, local open space and park goals, and will help realize the overarching ECT regional vision.

As of November 2008 the Central Texas Greenprint completed the current conditions analysis for Hays, Caldwell and Bastrop Counties. The Regional Steering Committee met and the county-level stakeholder groups have also convened to engage in exercises designed to set priorities for resource conservation. To assist in model building in order to map the resources that the steering committee and stakeholder groups prioritized for preservation and the Technical Advisory Team assembled for its initial meeting. Collection of data to map the resources to be prioritized is also underway. The stakeholder groups will meet again to review the initial prioritization in February or March of 2009.
