Figure 1: Funded Positions Program Quadrant

This figure shows the relationship between years of funded positions program experience (from low to high) and the number of funded positions supported in the program (from low to high) for the interviewed States. The range of years of program experience is zero to 15. The range of number of funded positions is zero to 31. Two States-Tennessee and Utah-have relatively young programs. States with more years of program experience include South Carolina, Florida, California, and Washington. North Carolina and Ohio have the most program experience. Utah, South Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee have few funded positions. Florida and Washington have more funded positions, while California and North Carolina have the greatest number of funded positions. In general, States with more years of program experience also had larger programs. States with fewer years of program experience were also smaller.
