Description: In May 2009, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the New Jersey State Historic Preservation Office identified projects which routinely result in a finding of No Effect to Historic Properties in New Jersey in accordance with the provisions of 36CFR Part 800. This “No Effect” list identifies construction and non-construction activities that do not require additional consultation in order to satisfy the requirements of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. Projects that combine activities that are included on the “No Effect” list and activities that are not on the list require further Section 106 consultation.
